TOKYO CRUSH is a contemporary story about two foreigners struggling to find a place for themselves in the wonderful, crazy, kaleidoscopic city known affectionately as the "Big Mikan." Collin and Jianhong commute like clockwork to and from the high-powered TV station where they are employed in the so-called international division. One hates the trains as much as the other revels in the ride, one tries too hard to fit in, the other doesn't try at all. Along the way they fall in and out of love, in and out of trouble, and in and out of Japan. It's a slaphappy fantasy set in the midst of political turmoil and a grim tribal reality which pits people against one another when all they really want to do is connect, communicate and be accepted as the unique and idiosyncratic individuals that they are.
